XBox is better because:
Better games
(Opinion) Looks better
More of my friends have it
Xbox live is not free - therefore Microsoft can spend money on having half-decent security systems, unlike Sony...
Also, due to the payment, Xbox Live isn't filled with hacking 9-year-olds who call people "faggots" the whole time

PS3 is better because:

Online is free
Graphics are better
More exclusive games
Better exclusive games
It's doesn't have the stupid Microsoft tile thing from Windows 8
It has currently sold more consoles than the Xbox 360
The remote isn't weird (having joysticks at different heights isn't ergonomic, it's weird. And what's with the letter buttons? ABYX? There's to logic to that! Plus your remotes use actual batteries! Bless...)
PLUS Xbox is for poopyheads.

Online is free - I'd rather pay for a great service than not pay for a crappy one

It has currently sold more consoles than the Xbox 360 - So what? That doesn't make it better - that's like saying that a crappy point and shoot has sold more than a top-end DSLR
The remote isn't weird - That's an opinion; I personally prefer the Xbox controller - it all comes down to preference

Online is free - there is nothing an Xbox can do that you can't do cheaper without one.

More exclusive games - Little Big Planet, Ratchet and Clank, Heavy Rain, God of War, Killzone, Resistance, Infamous, Agent (COMING SOON), Gran Turismo, Haze, Motorstorm, Journey, Singstar and Uncharted, to name just a few.
Better exclusive games - You have Halo. That's it.

The remote isn't weird - The first PlayStation came out before the first Xbox. Microsoft wanted to take Sony's idea, but messed up the remote a bit so they wouldn't get sued. They ruined it.

I do PC game for strategy and stuff, but nothing feels as cool as actually having a controller, sitting on a beanbag in front of the TV with a hot chocolate in a Peppa Pig onesie.

I PC game, don't have a graphics card on my laptop but I can still run portal 2, also I personally think that xBox controllers are more comfortable and the joysticks at different heights is better. You can get Xbox controllers for PC and plug a PC into the TV, you can get all the games from Xbox or ps3 on one, and it's graphics are what you are willing to pay for. There your argument is invalid as PC is best

There is no reason not to use a gaming PC instead.

PC gaming is cool, but I don't think it should be a part of this argument. It's about how much Xbox sucks. Want proof? Xbox Live uses Bing. People pay monthly to search using Bing. How sucky is that?

I have Live and I've not yet needed to search - Bing's hardly a reason to dismiss Xbox Live as 'sucky'

Bing is bad, but really, what is a COMPUTER for?, you could just use it to do everything on a PC.
